Abercorn Street; backed-up about half-a-mile from Henry (maybe even Victory) after the July 4th fireworks display. I didn't check Whitaker or Price; but I suppose they were just as jammed.

I think this pair of AA zinc-carbon dry cells were the prototype design for a battery that would just "keep going and going..." Take a look at the date code; it's 83-08.

Yeah, that's right, these puppies were born in August of 1983 and still powered-up that ancient Sharp Calculator until I replaced them on the first day of July. I doubt the replacement Kroger brand alkaline cells will work that long.
